The Dune Family
Holly Daniels Christensen
After working in the Boston real estate market for the past 10 years, this self-taught jewelry designer decided to celebrate her 35th birthday in an interesting way…by realizing her dreams of becoming an entrepreneur and launching Dune Jewelry on September 28th, 2010. Originally from Cape Cod, Holly spent her summers after high school learning to surf at Marconi Beach in Wellfleet and although her surfing skills never did amount to much, those days of skipping work at the bagel shop and heading to the beach will always be cherished. Holly began making beach sand jewelry for friends and family in 2007 with her close, childhood friend Kellie Quinn. Soon it became apparent that nearly everyone she knew had a special memory or exciting adventure that took place on the coast of New England, the shores of Italy, the beaches of California, the Sahara Desert or as Rupert Holmes would sing…”in the dunes of the Cape”.
Over the past 2 years, Dune has been featured in a number of publications including Cape Cod Life Magazine and the Uncommon Goods catalog as well as The Huffington Post, Daily Grommet and Boston STUFF Magazine. Holly hopes that all the wonderful people who have helped Dune grow will keep spreading the word and making new coastal memories to be cherished and celebrated by Dune Jewelry.
Holly is a native Cape Codder and direct descendant of the Nauset (Wampanoag) Indian tribe of Cape Cod. She now resides in Dedham, MA with her husband Eric, their daughter Alexa Jane and their handsome Chihuahua Tex.
Kellie Quinn : Beachsand Snowflakes
BEACHSAND SNOWFLAKES™ creator and Dune Jewelry designer Kellie Quinn is a multi-media artist... a painter who works in both oil and water color, and an artisan who appreciates the many treasures found along the shores of Cape Cod. Though primarily self-taught in most techniques, she’s benefited from a wide range of studies through Wheaton College in Norton, MA, Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable, MA and MetalWerx Jewelry & Metal Arts School in Waltham, MA. With Holly, Kellie developed the patent-pending sand & silver process in order to realize her sandbar jewelry concept in both name and design. Kellie’s style tends to lean towards the organic, and her designs focuses primarily on the sanded method that exposes the beauty of the individual grains of sand.
Samantha Robshaw : Studio Manager
With a sharp eye for making our jewelry look stunning both on camera and in the studio, Samantha has been an invaluable resource for us over the past few months as one of the newer members of the dune team. She was formally brought on early this year, but has been a part of the dune family much longer as her and our founder, Holly, grew up together. A native to Maine and the epitome of Boston Sports fan, Samantha has 3 beautiful daughters who you can see featured through out our site.

Dustin D. Bell : Marketing / Operations
Dustin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ithaca College in Drama with an emphasis in Directing as well as a minor in Music. He has been working professionally in various theatrical and marketing roles for over 5 years in Colorado, New York, and Massachusetts. Holly and Dustin's professional relationship began over a year ago when Dustin began working for Holly as a Marketing Coordinator for Signature Realty Services. Since then, he has taken the Chief Operations Officer position at Dune Jewelry and has been working side by side with Holly since Dune's initial creation. He brings a strong sense of organization, clarity, and a bit of comedy to his role with Dune, after all, running a business is no easy task even compared to dealing with artistic types.
Lindsay Florence : Production
Lindsay is a true artist in every sense. She grew up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania adjacent to the idyllic historic towns of West Chester and Chadds Ford and showed a keen interest in art at a young age. Lindsay was captivated by the work of local artists such as Andrew Wyeth and his deceased father N.C Wyeth. Lindsay’s early fascination with these artists as well as others would continue to inspire her as she expanded her own knowledge, interest and techniques. While Lindsay's true passion is painting, with her artistic eye and attention to detail she is quickly becoming a vital part of the Dune family.
Lindsay resides in Lexington, MA with her family which now includes her new husband, Jeremy and their dog, Ruca
